I ended up having to work late last night and didn't make it out for the Town Hall Rally. Fox45 made it and it looks like the place was packed.
I get the feeling that Ehrlich is acting almost like a scorned wife after his state cheated on him with another Governor. He's not ready to say the marriage is dead, but he also isn't ready to enter the Wife Carrying World Championship. When he sees out-pourings of support like that at the VFW, he feels like things may work, but is also very cautious in saying what he plans to do. I can't blame him. He really never did anything to earn his ouster other than carry a Republican title in an unpopular year. Oh, and he didn't have a band.
Two things Republicans, Ehrlich, can do to make a come back in a big way: Get serious about Green (the Democrats are just pretending at this point) and lay off the gun rights in urban areas.
ReplyDeleteThese two things have been the sole impediments for every R governor candidate in Maryland as far back as the 1980s.
Ehrlich's record for polluting the blackwater areas of the eastern shore were horrendous. If he can't get a spine where our air and water are concerned, he'll loose again.
