New Friend of the Site

Jessie X from Hometown Columbia has reached out to welcome me to the blogging community and let me know that the blog has come to the attention of some influential folk. When I started this site, almost a year ago, that notion would excite me. Now, I don't know how I feel. It is certainly intimidating.

So thank you Jessie for reaching out, and I encourage everyone to check out her site, which is linked above and to the left.

  1. Make no mistake; the "influential" people Goddess X refers to are looking to neutralize your impact on the 2010 elections.

But they'll smile and be very civil while twisting the knife (or denigrating you behind your back), and that is what really matters.

Watch how influential people talk about challengers. It's a clue regarding how they're talking about anyone who isn't cheerleading their way to more power and influence.

  2. Thanks Anon. I will tell you that Jessie was perfectly nice and I don't think there was any other motive than to be friendly and find out who I was.

I also realize that my post may give off the notion that I am somehow interested in coming to the attention of the "influential." I am not, and will not write to cater to those interests. I'm going to keep doing what I'm doing, because I am having too much fun to change now.

As far as back-stabbing, it wouldn't be new to this blogger or this site. The key is making the back-stabbers feel like you don't know. That's the fun part.

  3. Keep talking. I'm willing to learn.
