The Way Back Machine: 2006 Election

I don't have time to give these numbers a complete breakdown, but I wanted to share a link to 2006's Gubernatorial Election Results for Howard County.

In general, it certainly seems that Howard County votes more liberal on the federal level than they do on the state level.  I know that appearance has to do with districting, but you will also see that some districts perceived to be Dem strongholds are a little closer than one would expect (i.e., the Robey/Schrader match-up).  Four years can be seen as a lifetime as far as the ability of these results to predict the outcome of this year's election, especially in light of how many new voters were registered to vote for Obama.
