Bryan Sears with the Catonsville Patch (one of my favorite political reporters) writes that District 12 Delegates Steve DeBoy and Jimmy Malone will not be seeking re-election in 2014. With Delegate Liz Bobo also retiring, this means we have a three seat District that is wide open for first-time candidates.
I will refer you to Bryan's piece for more insight on why Steve and Jimmy decided not to return to Annapolis, but in the interim, 2014 just got a lot more interesting. Terri Hill and Clarence Lam have already declared for D12 and I imagine we will hear a few more names before this month is through.
